After the financial crisis in 2008 economic growth in the Euro area stagnated. While economic growth in Asia remained relatively high during the crisis and thereafter, and the US has recovered, economic growth in the Euro area remains low.

It could easily be said that the winners of the Value-Based Marketing course were not only the best student presentations, but also the Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE), the participating companies and the wider Limburg business community.
If I recall correctly, almost none of the students of my year knew back in 2008 what they would do after their studies. Most of us were ambitious and eager to join the workforce. Some went travelling first. A smart decision in hindsight, because landing a job hasn’t been the easiest thing to achieve since the crisis that hit in 2008.
