Student entrepreneurs at Maastricht University have an opportunity to pursue their business visions with LaunchBase, an incubation platform developed by the Maastricht Centre for Entrepreneurship (MC4E) in collaboration with the Province of Limburg, the Municipality of Maastricht and Maastricht University.
The new LaunchBase programme is set to begin tomorrow, 4 March, at the institute’s new location in the former Tapijnkazerne. The programme will be officially opened by Deputy-Mayor Twan Beurskens in the presence of Mayor Onno Hoes and Nick Bos, vice-president of the UM Executive Board. Speakers will include several UM graduates who started their own successful business during or after their studies.
Launch-Base consists of two programmes: Base and Launch. Base is a six month pre-incubation programme that helps ambitious students start their own company and learn how to draft a sound business plan under the guidance of MC4E and external mentors. Launch is a one to three-year programme that provides participants with intensive guidance and support in marketing their companies and finding clients and investors.
With its new location at the Tapijnkazerne, there is a creative atmosphere that offers plenty of networking opportunities.Read more about the programme and tomorrow’s launch here.
