Paris was the place to be on Friday, 19 September. Alumni from eight business schools around the world participated in the IBSNetwork alumni event: ECSP Europe (Paris), Aston Business School (Birmingham), Universidade Católica Portuguesa (Lisbon), QUT (Brisbane), City University of Hong Kong, HEC Montréal, University of Mannheim, University of Strathclyde (Glasgow) and of course Maastricht University School of Business and Economics (SBE). We were very pleased to see twenty (20) SBE alumni living/working in Paris attend the event.
In 2006, SBE initiated a Double Degree programme in France with EDH
EC Lille/Nice. It was especially interesting to meet our alumni who completed this particular programme and to find out what it had brought them in terms of life experiences and career choices. The SBE alumni in Paris are working at the following companies (also in Paris): OECD, CapGemini Consulting, Valeo, GE Capital, Groupe Lactalis, PwC Advisory, Twitter France, and Kulau GmbH.
“Joint events like the IBSNetwork event provide an excellent opportunity for SBE to (re)connect with alumni living abroad” explained Leann Poeth, SBE alumni officer as she reflects positively on the event in Paris. As there were over 130 alumni from some of the best business schools worldwide present, the evening provided our alumni with a unique opportunity to network and establish new connections.
The IBSNetwork is a semi-formal but very committed association of top quality (most are triple accredited) international business schools from around the world, including SBE, that aims to offer its members and students reciprocally beneficial collaborative initiatives on a worldwide basis.
