4 Nov: Socio-Ecological Transition: Towards a Better Understanding of Transitions and their Governance, a lecture by Jan Rotmans

We live in transitional times in search for new value systems. This goes along with turmoil, uncertainty, lack of confidence and fear.

From the transition perspective, crises are a chance for change since existing institutions are pushed and many embark on a quest for new values and norms.

In this lecture Jan Rotmans, Professor of Sustainable Transitions and System Innovations, EU Rotterdam, will tell us that a radical change, a transition, is necessary in order to create a better and sustainable society. A new set of rules has to be transmitted to the people involved in any project, region or sector, so that they can give it a swing into a more sustainable direction.

The lecture will take place at the Aula (Minderbroedersberg 4-6) on Monday 04 November at 20h00.
