Mr. Ignace Schops, winner of the 2008 Green Nobel Prize and member of Al Gore’s Climate Reality Leadership Corps, among many other accomplishments, will be a guest at Maastricht University and giving a FREE hour long lecture on Thursday 14 November 2013.
The topic of the lecture is: From Global to local, a sustainable opportunity! with a strong focus on ecological entrepreneurship.
Hundreds of nature reserves in densely populated areas across Europe are falling into public neglect and are threatened because of the limited resources engaged in their promotion and maintenance. Ignace Schops realised their untapped potential and has found a way to dramatically enhance both the environmental and economic value of these areas through concerted development. He mobilised a new generation of entrepreneurs to create calibrated investments that foster business opportunities while supporting local ecological quality.
The lecture takes place from 11 am – 12 pm in the Karl Dittrich Hall at the Student Services Centre (Bonnefantenstraat 2).
The lecture is organised by the Center for European Studies at SSC. Everyone is welcome. Please sign up until Wednesday 13 November 2013 by sending an email to Nathalie.ummels@
