Master’s students from two Maastricht University master’s programmes will participate in a competition organized by the city of Maastricht on the occasion of World Environment Day on Wednesday 5 June.
The contest will take place in the historical town hall of Maastricht, from 13.30 till 17.oo.
A selection of seven project teams will be competing for the title of best team project in the field of sustainability in Maastricht, Sittard-Geleen, and surroundings. The themes of the competition include energy, materials, food, health, services, and transportation.
Two teams from the master’s programmes on Sustainability Assessment (ICIS) and Business Innovation and Sustainable Development (SBE) will take part in the competition.
A jury composed of business, policy and university representatives will assess the projects. The Maastricht Councillor for Mobility, Sustainability and Knowledge, Mr. Albert Nuss, will present the awards.
This event aims to connect the city and the university by encouraging students to share their projects on sustainability (especially but not exclusively).
