Lecture: The consequences of the US elections

The elections of 2012 are, indeed, the most important in a long time.

Will the voters keep a president that they elected four years ago?

Are they disappointed enough to not give Barack Obama more time to live up to the hope that he offered? Will they turn back to the Republicans, this time, however with a radical program to change the US and the role of government?

Will they elect Mitt Romney and more importantly for this radical agenda, Paul Ryan as his vice-president?

Tonight America specialist Frans Verhagen will analyze where we are. We know how the presidential elections worked out, whether the Senate and the House have changed hands.

If Obama is the winner, we will look at what to expect from a second term. If Romney wins, we will see how this will change policy.
