Peter Luske, iEMFC alumnus cohort 2008: Winner of the NBA-VRC Thesis Award 2011

Peter Luske: “Being nominated for the VRC Thesis Award 2010-2011 in July 2011 for me was a real compliment. As most students finishing the already challenging iEMFC study in Maastricht was first priority when I started writing in the summer of 2010. I choose a topic that was both relevant from a business/company perspective and from a scientific/theoretical perspective.”

“Together with the professional help of Dr. Walther Ploos van Amstel I was able to combine these two perspectives towards an overall synthesis in the area of management control. I was extremely honored that the end result was an award winning one. I was really nervous being called on stage during the NBA-VRC congress of Wednesday 2 November 2011 to receive the award and respect from the audience. Looking back a very special day.”

“I would encourage every student to write a thesis that meets your own personal and professional standards and with some professional help and luck you never know what happens.”

Subject of his thesis is: Balancing trust and control: Building strategic partnerships at Schiphol Airport.
