From 12 until 14 April 2011, the University of Amsterdam hosted the 12th Econometric Game.
This very prestigious event was organised by the study association for Actuarial Science, Econometrics & Operational Research (VSAE) of the University of Amsterdam.
This year’s theme was the use of genetic markers as an instrument for investigating the effect of alcohol consumption during pregnancy.
SBE’s team, consisting of Marc Schröder, Sarah Dahmann, Daniel Pollmann, Lei Wan and Thomas Götz, won the 2011 edition of the Econometric Game. Oxford University and Cambridge University came in second and third.
